Right now we're basically just in the tedious waiting stages of having a van to lug ourselves and our gear around in. The van that we used to use did not collectively belong to the band as a whole. The past few months have been pretty hectic, usually taking 2-3 vehicles to get all of our gear to shows, when Jeremy and I don't own one currently. But we're doing what we have to do, and we should be back on the road before too much time passes.

We're saving up to press Fear Will Rust, but until then you can always stream it from our bandcamp page. We have decided to release 'Gnawing At The Gamut' on the EP as well, instead of separately. There has also been talk of releasing all of our material previous to Fear Will Rust on one album, which will include Qualms, our side of Within Realms + demo versions of 'Be And Betray' & 'Change Plate Rhetoric', and 4 demo songs that we never physically released which were recorded in the summer of '09. Of course we are only in the brainstorming processes, but it will most definitely include all new artwork and be named.

In the mean time, we'll be playing regularly around the Lafayette area, perhaps a few out of town shows here and there before we have proper band transportation.

Make sure to come out to Frankie's on January 15th to catch Gypsyhawk, who's singer/bassist used to play bass in Skeletonwitch, and also Sabbath worshippers, Green & Wood. Hope to see you all there.

*Also, we deleted our myspace. To get in touch with us, email us. For updates, check here.

Advancements.

Myspace is getting to an unbearable point of constant spammage. It used to be a great tool for social networking, especially for bands or artists, but these days, the over-saturation of it all makes it less convenient and more competitive. With that said, our myspace, though rarely updated, will remain for the sake for pictures and music. Otherwise, updates will be posted via facebook or on this handy little guy.

As most of our Lafayette and surrounding area people are aware of, the past few months have been anything but calm in the temple of Wildfires. Lineup changes resulted in the current "power trio" outfit with the addition of Tyler Harper (The White Horse Tabernacle). I must say that I feel we have finally come to a point where everyone is on the same page, and bears the same goals in mind. Everyone's on the same team, finally.

We spent a month and a half or so buckling down to write new material which resulted in 4 new songs known as, "Where The Haunted Go", "To Have Felt A Presence", "In A World Of Ghosts", and "Gnawing At The Gamut". 3 of these songs will be self-released in the near future as the 'Fear Will Rust' EP. The 4th song will be released on either a split, or in some other way, but will not be on the upcoming release. However, quite soon enough, everything will be available for free online.

In the mean time, we are working our typical jobs, constantly discussing the future of the band on a more expansive level, and keeping any of you that give a shit in mind. I'd like to thank everyone who's helped us out so far. Whether it's booking us in your town, letting us crash on your floor, helping us haul our equipment, shaking our hands at shows, sporting our shirts, downloading our albums, yelling the lyrics, and all of similar occurrences. You are the reasons we keep doing what we're doing. You make it possible for Wildfires to exist.
